Here at Camp Tissue and a Plan, our philosophy, based on our collective years of experience on the Playa, is that giving begets giving. One of our greatest joys at Burning Man has been sharing in a sense of community. With each kind thing that our neighbors and friends did for us, we felt more and more eager to do kind things for others, and it is our aim to contribute to this type of environment on a larger scale by organizing a theme camp.
Our general theme is based on an experience that 3 of our group had at Burning Man 2007. The three campers found themselves lost and disoriented, and decided that they needed a plan of action. The first item of this plan was to find a tissue, and we proceeded to ask our fellow burners until we eventually were gifted a tissue of the highest order. This was a formative night for our group of adventurers, and is the source of Dr. Responsible's Playa name. We wanted to relive this experience in some way, and share it with our friends, and so we have set out to create Camp Tissue and a Plan.
The primary service that we provide to our fellow burners is to hand out tissues and plans. To kill two birds with one stone, the plans are written on the tissues. We figure that every burner could use a spare tissue, and many could have anywhere from casual to dire need of a plan. Our tissue plans range from silly ("Get Neked") to sexually playful ("Indulge Your Inner Kiss Slut") to community building ("Spread the Esteem") to environmental ("MOOP Removal Squad"), as well as many others. In order to futher engage burners who are so inclined, we invite visitors to our camp to become actively involved in the creation of plans for others.
